Your Role in Our Mission
At Gift of Mary, our volunteers are the heart and hands of our mission. Each day, they help us create a safe space for women experiencing homelessness and abuse. Whether it’s serving meals, assisting with clothing, or simply offering a listening ear, our volunteers make a profound difference in the lives of those we serve.
Our volunteers are a community brought together by the Holy Spirit to build up the Church. For this reason, all women 18+ are invited to join the full-time missionaries in their formation activities!
We are seeking volunteers who are willing to contribute their unique gifts and talents to our mission. Whether you have a passion for hospitality, teaching, evangelizing, pro-life work, or another area, we encourage you to reach out. The Holy Spirit is guiding us to build up this ministry, and your skills can play a vital role in serving these beautiful women!
What Will I Be Doing as a Volunteer?
As a volunteer with Gift of Mary, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of meaningful activities that directly impact the women we serve. You might participate in relational ministry by building connections and offering emotional support, help prepare and serve meals to ensure our ladies have nutritious and comforting food, or organize and lead activities that provide a therapeutic outlet. Additionally, you could offer personal care services such as doing nails or hair, helping the women feel valued and confident. You may also assist with cleaning and organizing to maintain a welcoming and safe environment. While our roles and needs may vary, we eagerly anticipate welcoming you to our team and are excited to see how your unique contributions will enhance our mission.

Choose a day each week or biweekly that fits your schedule to volunteer with us.
02. Obtain Clearances
Once we review your application, we’ll reach out to guide you through obtaining any necessary clearances.

Start volunteering and make a difference! We’ll provide you with all the support and information you need to get started.
"As I was approaching an “empty nest” in my home, I began volunteering at Gift of Mary thinking I could “give back” and help fill the void created by having older teens in the home. I had been volunteering at The Red Door for about a year prior to this, so I thought I had an idea of what it would be like; however, my experience at Gift of Mary has been so much more than I ever could have imagined. Spending time with the women who visit the day center has been an amazing experience whether that is by providing them with a coffee, a meal, just listening to them, or sitting quietly with them. Despite the missionaries being much younger than myself, my Catholic faith has grown tremendously watching the love & compassion these young women share while also evangelizing in big & small ways each & every day. In addition, I have enjoyed watching the women who are visiting the center help each other and treat each other with such kindness by sharing advice, resources and laughs with each other. I am looking forward to continue volunteering and watching Gift of Mary grow."
